I saw the neatest sticker on a mirror in my hair salon the other day. I don’t think Google still gives them out; the owner confided she only got it as a olive branch after they kept showing her business in the wrong spot on Google Maps (in my experience, they are actually pretty quick to respond if you contact them about a mistake in Maps. I’ve done it for my house and for a customer’s business – as of 2016, just open the location in Maps, look for “Suggest an Edit,” follow the instructions and submit.)
I don’t think they give these out any more, (Out-Smarts mentions getting one after setting up A My Business listing; your mileage may vary.) But there’s nothing stopping you from making your own! QR code can easily be made and added (http://goqr.me/, http://www.qr-code-generator.com/, etc) to your homemade marketing material. I think customers sometimes appreciate stuff that is, well…handmade and richly textured.
